we've been back to baking...

*finally!* Another birthday at the shelter. It has been nearly two months since we have baked for Hesed House. This cake is for a 13 year old boy...hope he likes baseball because that is what he's getting. This cake was super easy and I think it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. Of course, I did have lots of "help"...this is a dramatic re-enactment of the "helping" since I missed taking pictures during the actual "helping" since their "helping" is actually very labor intensive on my part.

You aren't fooling anyone with that fake cupcake, mister.

One of the real cupcakes...

I love these muddy little feet.

I remember a time long ago when all of our dishes were the same color and none of them were brightly colored plastic.

My babies love to wash stuff in the sink. It keeps them busy for *hours*. Sometimes it's Matchbox cars or babies but this day it was just apples. Lil' A is just about one centimeter short of being able to reach the sprayer but that doesn't stop her from trying.

My Husband Is Awesome

I got to work on my scrapbook again yesterday. That's twice in one week. Wahoo! And I got to spend the day with my Super-Cool-Organic-Friend (yes, you are, FM) and marinade in creativity. So why the title? Because Husband not only gives me no grief about going, he encourages it. He takes the babies to the park and out to dinner. He bathes them and cleans their messes and brings them to the scrapbook store so I can kiss them goodnight. Then he does dishes, lets me sleep in and makes pancakes for all. I'm super lucky. Because of his awesomeness I was able to make these for the babies:

A teachable moment with static electricity...

I had to go to the DMV. Apparently I have been driving on an expired license for about a month. Whatever. I *really* did not want to get a new license, because I *LOVE* this picture of me. And those of you who know me well know that I never ever say that! Anyhow, this picture was before kids. (read: 30 pounds lighter.) I was just married. No mortgage. Just off the plane from Hawaii. :::sigh!::: I was tan and carefree and had long hair with no grays. :::sigh::: Wow, what a difference 8 years makes. I cringe to think what the next picture will look like...if I will look at my new license (NOT PICTURED!!) and think wow! Why did I think this was a bad pic? This is great! The kids were little, 30 pounds lighter, only a handful of grays.....

The Best Packaging Ever. (It's a case of pop....)
