Husband and I thought that it would be a good idea to drive to Wisconsin (barely) and take the kids on a tour of the Jelly Belly factory today. CT is especially interested in factories and machines and conveyors and the like. We all had a good time, it was something to do and it was *free* which is always a plus. Free except for the money you spend on jelly beans when you pop out of the tour into the gift shop, that is. But CT loved riding in the little Jelly Belly train all around the warehouse wearing his Jelly Belly hat and that was so fun to watch!
Could he be a little more excited? Lil' A was excited, too, just a little more affected by the wind.
All aboard the Jelly Belly Express!
Afterward we decided to drive to the lake since the tour is only about a half an hour long and it took us an hour and a half to get there. It was very cold but the kids (CT more so) had a good time running in the sand and looking for 'smooth rocks'. We did that for about 3 minutes before everyone gave up and got back in the nice, warm, jelly bean scented car. Turns out winter on the beach is not much fun, even if there are 'smooth rocks' involved.

Sounds like you're having a lot of fun quality time as a family! Excellent. I would love to get together with you and catch up. Would you be willing to get together on a week night after 7:00for some coffe-decaf? I miss you! Plus- we always do that for your bday and we did not get a chance to. Let me know!
Katy and I love Jelly Bellies! We went there on the way to Door County one summer. Fun fun!
At the dollar store the other day I saw "Belly Flops" - Jelly Bellies that don't make the cut. Ha!
